The park staff collect’s items left behind in the park. Please check with them at the park office, located to the left of the stairs leading to BMCC in the northwest corner of the park.

History
The park was first created in 1978 as Washington Market Community Park, a result of local activism that aimed to bring much-needed green space to Lower Manhattan.
