Our Coloring Book

The Washington Market Park coloring book was created in 2021 as a way to celebrate the flora and fauna of the park as well as its unique structures and features. It’s a celebration of our neighborhood treasure for nature-lovers of all ages!

The book contains 31 pages of original sketches by Brooklyn artist Kristin Reiber Harris, each accompanied by informative text as well as space for budding artists to add drawings and details of their own.

The book is dedicated to Washington Market Park’s gardener, Richard Haugland.
We treasure him and the natural wonders he cultivates.

The Friends of Washington Market Park produces several free events each year, all volunteer run with support and contributions from neighborhood residents.

Washington Market Park’s single tennis court is lit with a hard-court surface and is open for play from 7am until midnight.
Basketball
Basketball
The basketball court is located on Chambers Street near the entrance ramp to Borough of Manhattan Community College.
